Alden March

Alden March is the former name of the Beta chapter. The chapter was originaly founded as the Alden March chapter, its name coming from Dr. Alden March, the founder of Albany Medical College (now Union College). The chapter took the Beta designation on February 27, 1891 after the addition of the [[Gamma] chapter at Cornell and due to the desire of the Grand Chapter to have a more logical chapter naming scheme.
