Powers

The Grand Council is the chief policy making body of the fraternity. The Council has full authority to control the affairs of the Grand Chapter, to manage property belonging to it, and to transact all of its business. In conjuction with the Foundation Board of Trustees, the Grand Council is also responsible for appointing the Editor of the Signet. Other offices appointed by the Council are Chaplain and Historian.

Composition

The Grand Council consists of the Grand President, who is CEO of the Grand Chapter, and six Directors.

Terms

The Grand Council Directors serve four-year terms, with one-half of them being elected at each General Convention. A Director is limited to three terms of service.

Executive Vice President

The Grand Council employs an Executive Vice-President, who manages the day to day operation of the Fraternity. With the approval of the Grand Council, the Executive Vice-President hires the personnel to help him carry out his duties.
